Atmospheric Water Harvesting
Atmospheric water condensation captures moisture from the air and makes it available as a local water source through condensation. Depending on the context, this can be achieved passively through nocturnal radiative cooling or actively through technical condensation systems integrated into greenhouses. These solutions provide small but valuable volumes highly pure water that can be reused locally.
Within GEORGIA, atmospheric water condensation is demonstrated in vineyards and greenhouse systems to support supplementary irrigation, improve water availability during dry periods, and, in some cases, support greenhouse microclimate control.
