The ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence (ECoE) is an autonomous Centre of Excellence in Earth Observation, space technology and geospatial analysis. The mission of ECoE is to conduct both basic and applied research towards improved understanding, management, and monitoring of natural resources and infrastructures and to offer expert services and products of excellent qualities in line with the latest development remote sensing and related geospatial technologies or other high-tech tools.
Activities in the project
ECoE will retrieve and exploit geospatial information from satellite data, to support smart irrigation. Furthermore, ECoE together with CPPC and CUT will explore and demonstrate solutions for efficient and sustainable use of resources (water, fertilizers) in semi-arid and land degraded areas of Cyprus.
