The farm grows a variety of crops, including fruits, vegetables, cereals, and legumes. The pilot focuses on developing and advancing existing water and nutrient recycling systems and aims to become a role model for circular economy approaches in agriculture. Cambium will apply innovative circular and nature-based solutions such as rainwater harvesting, storage, and reuse in agriculture, as well as liquid-solid separation of wastewater. The liquid fraction will be treated in green walls and reused for fertigation. Additionally, Cambium will explore innovative composting methods for sewage sludge and the metabolisation of nutrients in biomass.
