class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (UPWr) is one of the top universities in Poland. It employs over 1 600 staff, including almost 745 academics, over 260 professors and post-doctoral degree holders. The University carries out a broad spectrum of research in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Veterinary Sciences. In terms of the number of obtained patents it also holds one of the top positions in the country. At the European level, UPWr is a member of major European Networks and stakeholder thematic groups, such as the European Biomass Research Network (EUBREN) and the Bio-based Industry Consortium (BIC). At the regional level, UPWr cooperates with the Marshal&#8217;s Office of the Lower Silesia Voivodeship, which has led to development and implementation of a pilot regional development program entitled &#8220;&#8221;Green Valley for Food and Health&#8221;&#8221; in line with the national Strategy for Responsible Development 2030. The UPWr&#8217;s project team will perform tests of biological water-absorbing geocomposites (BioWAG). BioWAG represents a novel approach in sustainable agriculture, aiming to improve water conservation and soil health.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UPWr also plans to conduct experiments combining BioWAG with smart agriculture technologies, such as soil moisture sensors and automated irrigation systems, to create a fully integrated, precision agriculture system that can dynamically adjust water and nutrient delivery based on real-time soil and plant needs.
