This area faces significant challenges due to limited irrigation water resources, poor groundwater quality from salinity caused by seawater intrusion, and past groundwater overexploitation. With average annual precipitation of only <strong>370 mm<\/strong>, citrus crops\u2014including oranges, mandarins, lemons, and grapefruits\u2014struggle to achieve optimal yields compared to other
